I Need Some Extra Help

<div class="IPBDescription">isnt working at all</div> iva always had steam and loved it, and all of my mods (about 7) have worked perfectly so far. i am very used to steam as a whole. i recently downloaded 3.0 instalation, 3,0 b4 patch, and 3.0 b4a patch. i followd the instructions for installing through steam perfectly, and i have natural selection on my games list and it opens up and i can play in a created server. when i try to acess a public server it either gives the error that my map (name) differs from the server or the .dll error. ive tried about 3 different downloads from 3 different servers and ave followed everything that wasgiven as far as installation. i have windows 2000, a geforce3, ample memory and other things but i think it may be more with the files hean anything else, any suggestions? ireally want to play this, my other games are getting a bit old and this looks interesting.
ps.- im also having this same problem with another game i d/ld today, its called "tour of duty" may that be the problem?

did you try deleting the maps and redownloading them from the server?

I know that some of this is redundent, but I am tired, actualy read through it:

2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam
3) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\)
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (See * at bottom)

Search your HDD for a folder called nsp.

if you have more than one you messed up.  try again.

if you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.

If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.

*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers.  Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

ok...im going o try deleting everything ns related, uninstalling it , all caches, and every lil reminder file, redownloading everything and reinstalling it. hope it works. btw i just noticed a new prog. in there through steam called "platform", i dont remember getting it or noticing it before, anyone else have it?

since i have as long as i want to do this imma test it each step f the way to find the problem, 3,0 install works fine, no errors

ok it works now..i think i just had a corrupted file, i did nothing different than the first time but now it worx
