Small Early Game Balance Change.

<div class="IPBDescription">Med & Ammo packs</div> Just had a thought.
As it stands, rines are powerful in the early stages of ns games. What about removing med packs and ammo packs from the off and making them research options on the armoury?
Dont make them cost too much, 10 res or so. Say 1-2 min research time also. Could be a combined research option or two research options. Either way, what do you people think about this?

    Very Helpful....

    I rarly see people spamming meds and amo at the start of the match so I dont think there is much need for this. Also shouldnt this be in S&I

    Medpacks had to be researched early in the private 3.x betas, but it was dropped because all commanders just researched it right away, as it didn't cost much. Personally, I think that increasing the research cost to 30 AND increasing marine start res to 130 would have made it viable... but you risk cheesy marine start tactics with too much starting res.

    Maybe make the research cost of med packs more expensive for marines. This would mean rambo marines are easy to kill. Also, it'll promote marines to avoid getting bitten.

    "SKULKS INCOMING"

    (Shooting and biting action)

    (BANG BANG BANG)

    (BITE BITE BITE)

    (That skulk dies)

    "AARRRGGHHH... I got bitten. COMM MED PACK NOW!!!"

    "Not yet... Gimme a moment."

    "I NEED ONE NOW!!! THERE'S ANOTHER SKULK COMING!!!"

    "WAIT SOLDIER!!!"

    (BITE)

    (Marines dies)

    "Thx alot comm. Now I can't rambo rts and kill multiple skulks for you..."

    it'd be very frustrating for that leet shooter marine that every game always has: running around the map gunning skulks down by the dozens in the first minutes. dunno though, it could be good if tested.

    I was just thinking it would help aliens with the early rine rambos / expansion.
    And yes it probably should be in the S&I forum, but i was thinking it had more to do with the balance of the current beta.
