    Yes I know, that has already been fixed, and the room is NEAR completetion...almost though...
  • NaigelNaigel Join Date: 2003-07-23 Member: 18376Members, Constellation
    'Completetion', great! Show us the final thing if it's done ok?
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
    Almost... give me about 30 minute to an hour and I'll have it done! *salute*

    Alright! Im done with the map! Now, I need you guys to vote which room I do next! I will now list 2 options:

    <img src='http://www.digitalizedzone.com/forums/uploads/post-41-1086387077.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    And now, here is the finished product! Triming will come along at some point, unknown to myself...

    <img src='http://www.digitalizedzone.com/forums/uploads/post-41-1086387573.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>I choose option B</span>

    I am going to add a neat window effect there, so, vote for it... option A is a boring docking bay...

    well you already know I like exterior detail since I told you so my vote goes to B

    Comments about the shot:
    Nice, however the wall Naigel mentioned has already improved in the last shot, but it is still a "flat" wall. Maybe make it look like the oposing wall with that protruding part near the bottom?

    Ohter then that nice work <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    B is leading by 4 votes, 4 to 0, so, I might as well get started. Damn I hate triangles...

    before you move on to B fix that right angle near the door way as naigel pointed out i suggest rounding it a bit or putting a doorframe or something
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
    When I get around to making A, I'll fix the hallway that leads to A... for now, B is my priority...
  • NaigelNaigel Join Date: 2003-07-23 Member: 18376Members, Constellation
    Maybe you can do the same as you did in the other hallway, that beamy hallway trim...

    not bad.. big pictures for 56k <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    They arent that big... 900 X 720 isnt all that huge... but oh well! As for the door trim... I dont want to integrate that into another hallway, since it might get repetative...

    Im loving the entrance to room b, the way it changes color from a blue to a red glow + the TSA logo...... looks like its saying danger up ahead, nice man...

    The door corner could use a little fixing up to make it look better (the 1 the others have been pointing out)

    Oh, and how about having an opening in the grating facing the box and res tower just big enough for a lerk and skulk, coz there isnt much hiding space for aliens... have the grating hanging down as if it was opend for maintenance.... but ... i donno, im just suggesting...

    well....looking good man

    <b>DaRk_PlAgUe</b> wasnt talking about the resolution... He was talking about the redicules filesize of 500kbyte or larger. This is just pure torture for the modem users I'm afraid...

    Use jpg 70% compression to get it down to something like 90-150kbyte without any noticeable quality loss <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I'll see what else I can get done as soon as I get a response for making a custom skybox for me, then I can put up a skybox and not worry about my windows skitzing out...

    This just in! Brand new screens! Celebrate!

    <img src='http://swooh.com/peon/tincan/ns_start0003.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    It still needs some work so, lay off for a little while... I had to wait a while to get the sky textures, and we are working to spruce those up...

    Ok scratch that, I'm turning this into an entryway for a loading bay, which will have outside views.
  • PogoPPogoP Environment Artist Join Date: 2004-01-31 Member: 25827Members, NS2 Developer, Constellation
    Yeah the glass looked really out of place...
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
    Yeah, I hated it. The new loading bay will have bits of snow inside of it, and a large computer mainframe.
  • RecoupRecoup Join Date: 2004-04-25 Member: 28195Members
    Alright, I scrapped the whole idea for the loading bay and made this!

    <img src='http://www.digitalizedzone.com/forums/uploads/post-41-1086905072.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Now start replying because I want to make sure this sucka isnt dead. The room isnt done, I know I need more....

    Tip for that right glass:
    The alpha/fx amount for clean glasslike this is best at 32-48, it will make the glass look close invisible but it does keep the idea of something being there.
    Squeeky clean glass anyone? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> Other then that it looks good...
