I have had this problem lately with sound in NS, and NS only. After taking a break from NS i installed the new version and played for awhile, then after a few weeks I started noticing a fuzzy sound in the background, and it has started to get on my nerves. Actually that is an understatement, it makes me want to stab myself in the face with a pitchfork and rip off my ears...I updated my sound drivers etc, I even reinstalled NS but it is still happening, it doesnt happen in any other Half-life related games or other games I have (CS 1.6, CS:CZ, DoD, UT2k4, CoD, SoF2, AA) it only happens in NS which leads me to believe it is not my sound card (I have an nforce 2 DFI motherboard with built-in gaming sound) I turned off sound effects in the audio menu which mutes gunfire, walking, everything, and the fuzzy, scratchy noise remains.
Please help me with this, if this problem continues I'll just uninstall NS because its way to annoying to play with that continuous fuzzy sound, it's like watching a fuzzy tv station with the volume turned up for two hours.
