I added the alein slot 4 weapons because it wouldn't let me select them. All this does is fastswiches marine slot 4 weapons when you have more than 1. I'm not sure it needs hud_fastswitch enabled, but I always have hud_fastswitch on, so its a moot point. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> just going to point out that the point of his fastswitch is that he can cycle through the slot4 stuff... The alien weapons you'll only have one of, but I just wanted to mention that... so the way you have it, If you have all of the alien weapons (sv_cheats or a rolldice server), it will always select AR.
No, the point is it doesn't actually mention slot 4 in it. Assumming you have 2 marine weapons in slot 4, such as welder and mines, it <i>will not fastswitch them</i>. And considering I don't play with cheats on, it works fine is way. Remove all the alien weapons and you will have the original script, which works great until you play aliens. Because slot 4 isn't mentioned, you don't actually select the slot 4 weapon.
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Man, I confuse even myself</span>
Edit: I get your point. That's the reason I use the script, to fastswitch my slot 4 marine weapons. Since I don't use multiple configs for each team, I have to include the alien slot 4 weapons or I won't be able to select them.
All scripts I use is this: alias "+s1" "slot1" alias "-s1" "+attack;wait;-attack" alias "+s2" "slot2" alias "-s2" "+attack;wait;-attack" alias "+s3" "slot3" alias "-s3" "+attack;wait;-attack" alias "+s4" "slot4" alias "-s4" "+attack;wait;-attack"
For fast switching with 4 buttons. With hud_fastswitch 0 you just select them (like with hud fastswitch 1, but you see the hud) With hud_fastswitch 1 you select them AND fire it once.
Just wondering, might be off topic, but not totally, still about scripts, well more of binds. I was wondering, does NS have the command to display your health, armor and location now? Or it still can't?
If your talking aobut the chat variables like DOD has (%l = location, %h = health, etc.), no NS still doesn't have them..Altough I REALLY wish it did, that would make things so much simpler. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

<i>edit: Just adding a little bit, I had to leave to school before...
alias+ means alias on...
alias- means alias off...
alias= means alias switch...
(if you were wondering what the various things are in my script)</i>
I use one now that lets me blink or leap away from combat in an instant... just bound mouse three to the attacks leap and blink <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
then in your autoexec.cfg add the lines, "bind <KEY> marine.cfg" and "bind <KEY> alien.cfg"
In you marine/alien.cfg, put the realative binds.
in the game when you join rines, hit the key you bound the config to ^_^
Not hax but takes off your net graph for screenshots, i've taken nice action shots in the past that have been ruined by the annoying lil net graph in the bottom right corner.
I think this should be stickied because people curious about scripts should only have to look in one place.
Plus the more people see these things the more likely they will be able to figure them out.

Too bad a loop like that will crash your game. :x
Not very useful though... Better to just make something like:
<!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->alias +fjump "+jump"
alias -fjump "-jump;wait;+jump;wait;-jump"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
because then you could hit jump, hold it and glide. then when you released it, it would give you twice the boost when flapping to glide again!
