I Have A Fullbright Map... But It's Too Bright

<div class="IPBDescription">env_gamma doesn't make it dark enough D=</div> Alrighty, I've done a flaytona map, but the problem is that even with env_gamma set as low as possible (which gives me the error "Display doesn't support downloadable gamma"), or as low as I can get it without it giving that error, it's too bright.
I don't mean it's blindingly bright, I mean that it's good amount of light, but I'd like it darker, as I textured it in Hammer, which gives me the idea that the rooms were a lot darker, meaning that some textures, and parts of the map, now look pretty bad.
So, here's the question: Is there any lighting entity that will fill the whole map with light, not casting shadows (preferably), that I can set to a specific brightness?

in hammer goto map (its on the file edit view bar) and goto map properties and change the default light level (i've never used it so i dont kno what to set it to, so ud have to play around with that)
or in the rad section of ur compile u cud change the ambient light level (use batch compiler (its an easy to use front end for the compile tools, if u dont already)
if u want more contrast in the lighting tho u cud also alter the -gamma on ur rad i use between 0.6 and 0.7 usually
-dscale and -fade are also useful (again in the rad section of ur compile tools)
