    Copied or not, it does look good. Surely you guys appreciate that inspiration has to be gathered from somewhere: Bast uses some stuff from Aliens, de_dust used some inspiration from TFC, and nexus was inspired by nothing, powercliterus, eclipse and veil. To summarize my post, even great mappers have to draw their inspiration from somewhere.

    And of course it's allowed for mappers to take inspirations from other games/maps(which is something I think all mappers do), as long as you're not copying anything. Which I definately don't Nay have done, or have any reason to do either.
    For example, when I first started working on co_ether, I was heavily inspired by a UT2k3 map. Don't remember the name though. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, it does look alot similiar to that but everyone has to get inspiration from somewhere. And to make it look THAT nice takes some skill anyway. Oh and Nay, maybe consider making that walkway go further out and connect to another building so that people will be able to see this beautiful site as they run along the walkway shooting skulks leaping out at them <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Seen as you have told me it is supposed to be a snowy planet, I think there is one extra way for you to spice it up, add in a bit of falling snow. I prefered the darker version my self, although it wouldn't have been the best to play in.     It would be good if you also send us a playable map to get the feel of the atmosphere you've produced so we can then evaluate how good the map plays and feels (in bsp format)

    Other than that it looks wonderful, but my choice in sky would go for that darkish grey kind of sky as I've find it more appealing, that's just my opinion anyways <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->
