<div class="IPBDescription">corrupt files</div> when i was installing v 3.0 beta 1 i got a message saying that whatever file could not be installed, source file was corrupt, i ignored it, but another came, then another, then another, i then downloaded it from another link, same thing, tried again, same thing. i tried most of the links, but each time i installed v 3.0 beta 1 i got messages about the source file being corrupt. are all these files supposed to be corrupt? or is it just the links, if its the links, please tell me a link that wont give me corrupt files

Give us exact error messages.
And If all else fails, download it from File planet.

oh and full directions for install:

2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam
3) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\)
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (See * at bottom)

Search your HDD for a folder called nsp.

if you have more than one you messed up.  try again.

if you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.

If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.

*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers.  Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

when i tried to install v 3.0 beta 1 , i would get this message, even when i downloaded it from fileplanet

c:\valve\steam\steamapps\gubero\half-life\nsp\ns.wad

An error occured while trying to copy a file:
the source file is corrupted.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation

if i retried, it would give the same message anyways, if i ignored it, eventually i got the same message except for ns2.wad, then ayumi.wad, then ns_eclipse.wad and so on and so forth.this has happened every time.
