<div class="IPBDescription">i can get my favourite game to work (NS)</div> Ok first of i want to say i love the game i just played it the first time today i played version 3 beta 4 i think, and as soon as i got home i went to download it, i downloaded everything and then when i went to steam and chose NS to play i join a game and then it says Ns does not support software mode and the screen is blank except for that, WHAT IS SOFT WARE MODE AND HOW DO CHANGE IT, please i really want to play, if you can help me please do. And the other thing is when i go into half life or CS and i select custom game NS doesnt show up as one of the available ones to activate, what needs to be done to fix this so i can play.

That is a probleme with your graphics settings.

Go to options (inside of ns in steam), then video (i think) and change the part where it says software to something else.
ie: OpenGL

software mode is a grafic setting in "options->Video-> Video-mode" change it.

As for the second question.
AS NS is a third party game (not an "official" hl mod) it will not show up in the custom game option inside of CS & Co.

At least that is what i think.

It will show up in the Steam-Games list under 3rd party games.

Edit: Funny thinh is that ur subtitle says you CAN get it to work,... so wheres the point??? (just kidding)

Thanks you guys for the help, i am now playing my NS regulary but unfortunately im not so good on the net compared to LAN
