Server or game descision
I wonder...how will the map cycles work in game, from what i have been reading it seems a time limit would be somewhat in appropriate. Then I thought, well, I wonder if the next map depended on who won the last map. I think it would be very amusing if the initial map in the server is kinda mid point I.E. the marines responding to some distress becon A la LV-426 stlye, then if they won, they moved to another planet in the chain of planets that the aliens have already taken, each one becoming harder to take. If the aliens won, they moved furhter along the marines planets, each one being a little more tilted toward the marines.
There could be three or four different main start maps, and those could cycle as they were fought over for variety, so it didn't always seem the same to start. Would be a little intersting, add some variety to the game, add an actual goal for people to shoot for during those long long hours of net play. It's an idea for a latter beta release if nothing else, and it could be server decided upon as well.

If the server hits the time limit in the middle of a game, it waits until that game has finished before changing to a new map. Flayra thinks of everything.
Most games don't get to a point where it's unfun do too longevity. NS simply rocks.
