Sounds From Hl Single Player

Where are they?
When you play single player half-life, there are sounds in it (obviously) like the scientist voices, and the ambient sounds etc.
but i just can't find the damn things, i know that the sounds for NS and most mods are in a sounds folder, but i dont have one of them in my HL folder, and i'm just wondering, how the hell does it play the sounds if i dont have them on my computer?
This has been bugging me for a few days now, i just can't find the damn sounds
i'm not sure if this should go in tech support or not, seeing as it isn't really support
feel free to move it if you wan't to.

And it'll be in the half-life\VALVE folder i think.
i was also wondering where the models are kept, seeing as i can only see about 4-5 models related to single player HL inthe whole of my Sierra folder

look inside the .pak files in the valve subfolder. They're all packed up in there. You'll need a program to open them, but finding one won't be hard.
any suggestions on a program?
