Hellbilly?: Nice one.
Lej: Try <a href='http://www.planetphotoshop.com' target='_blank'>Planet Photoshop</a> (don't worry, it's got nothing to do with GameSpy).
hey everyone, i agree. im seeing SO MANY huge sigs. its really bugging.
anyho, just showing off my new sig. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
if anyone wants one (im not that good yet) ill be happy to make one for you.
<i>edit</i>: does anyone know how to preserve transparency?
Aww but I wuv my sig <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

If yes, read on; before saving as GIF select the foreground color to be something thats halfway between the background color its going to be used on and the outer edges of the image, when you get the options for saving as gif format, set the matte color to "foreground color". Then save it, that should be it.
Here is one using a Matte (note the matte is dark brown because of the forum background it was used on)
Hey Ginger I use Paint Shop Pro also.. how'd ya get that splatter effect in the yellow / green one... Only sig I have going online right now is one I did for TFC... I need to redo it badly... jaggies are horrible on the models.. also should size it down and drop a black border / shadow behind it
Well, some of those sigs are fairly nice, but please remember people, sigs must be 75x400. Many of those are quite a bit larger than specifications. Havn't seen many that break the size limit (in data), but remember that too.
We dont want excessively extended posts or have unfriendly downloads for narrowband users. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hey One-Arm is that from that old star wars film when he chops that monsters arm off? I think it is, lmao it made me laugh seeing that picture.
Everyone take a look at the new siggy. All done with Paint Shop Pro 6. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I would like it if I had photoshop (And I don't really feel like dloading a huge crack), but PSP will have to do for now.
*Edit*
Evolvingevil yours is good... only thing I dont like is the side blurs though.. I mean I like the blur but it just looks... ugh..
Bleh methinks 75 is waay too small to be able to do any real constructive stuff.... anyways I'll mess with mine tomorrow im off to bed...
*edit*
Final thought. Personally methinks that max dimension should be 400x150 as long as the image doesnt exceed the already set file size limit.. mines only 14k as is... =(
1. He used a background fill texture (cracked emerald) on a blank image (it's in your psp directory under patterns/Cracked Emerald.bmp). 2. He used the sunburst effect (Effects > Illumination Effects > Sunburst), setting the colour to yellow. 3. He then used the text tool (with a black fill and a brown stroke).
It's not a yellow splatter - it's just the background texture with the sunburst.
_Knuke_: I can see your avatar perfectly.
[rant] Sigs look far better at 400 by 75 - on one forum I was browsing there was no sig size limit - so I had to spend more time looking at sigs than at posts (one person had a 600 by 700 sig!). Large signatures are a waste of other peoples time. [/rant]
Hello my name is venomus, you may remember me from such forums as Rust. You will be seeing more of me around here from time to time... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Okay I'm requesting an avatar. Unlike my previous one which is pretty good, made by Ramses: <img src='http://www.parkway-capital.com/steve/sigs/nsav1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'> I want something that is not NS specific. I tried to design something circular and with an abstract S in there somehwhere, but it looks bad: <img src='http://www.parkway-capital.com/steve/sigs/nsav2.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image'> So if any one can come up with a generic avatar suggesting 'S' and circular in theme I'd be dearly thankful.

Power-Line: Your sig is way too big.

I am going to make myself a spray, several maybe and upload em somewhere, then link people to get them if they want to use them.

ok, anyone want me to make a sig? im not really <b>that</b> bad at it.
How does everyone like my sig?

"400 pixels wide x 75 pixels high"
oo i got to change mine too

-Edit-
Theres my sig, doesnt have much to do with NS but it has to do with my name, and i like it alot, what do you guys think?
Ginger did the 'yellow splatter' by:
