Okay see where it says move to waypoint 2 meters, well this got me thinking. When a commander asks you to go to a waypoint how does it work? Does it have an arrow up on top of your hud that guids you or a dot on the map?

Neither. You have to look around for it.

My logical explanation is that with waypoint they mean where you should go, and where your team should go, so you know where to move and not spread out like mad.

I have no real explanation for this, though, as I don't know.

That circle IS the waypoint. It's stationary and visible through walls, and blinks. Easy to find.

And as you get closer to the waypoint do the meters count down?

Goodness man, that's common sense! Of course the meters go down!

Nope. They count sideways. See, NS exists in an alternate universe in which none of our rules of physics apply.

I would assume it would, if you get closer than there are less metres separating you from the way point.

If anyone from the U.S. is confused brush up on your metric.

/me loves Canada.

I'm assuming the waypoint is small from a distance and it grows larger the closer you get to it?

You don't have to make me feel like an idiot tycho, a simple yes would have suffised.

Meters? Metric? What are you people TALKING about!
I think 'standard' is nice and... erm... very random. I mean there's no pattern to it's distances, what could be better? Oh, uh, I'll shut up now.

What if the waypoint isn't even a meter?

Of course waypoints are meters. Did you think it would randomly decide to use metric, imperial and Egyptian palm units?

He means 'Less than 1'.

Which would be something like... oh... the number zero.
• SilarnSilarn Join Date: 2002-10-03 Member: 1413Members, Constellation
Well I'd assume it either round and say 0 or 1. (and of course I think the waypoint might disappear once you all get close enough to it)
Of course they could get tricky and use decimals.
