What does this mean, and how can I fix it?

    Looks like you didn't run HLCSG.

    I try too, but whenever the ZHLT Compile GUI gets to that point, it says that "CSG.exe has caused an error and will now close."

    Erm, what is ZHLT Compile GUI? Is it like Batch Compiler?

    Anyway, maybe you should update your tools to XP-Cagey's, see if that fixes your problem.

    Are you sure you've got the proper .dll files that go with your compile tools? Check <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21248' target='_blank'>XP-Cagey's thread</a> to get the most recent compile tools and the .dll files that go with them.

    Also: The error hlbsp gives is caused by hlcsg not running, so first make sure to get that one working.
    I don't know the frontend you're using, but it probably has a feature to examine the .batch file used to execute the tools. Check this file for any errors.
