just got the game. I played counterstrike and i like sci-fi. and a friend recomended this game to me. So just off the bat is there any thing major i shoudl know about the game. maybe how/what to do?

    loads to know... the game is deep, but quickest way of learning it is to get onto servers and play! just ask lots of questions and talk to people...

    the forums are a very good place to find answers - a quick search will answer 99% of your questions, and the others can be answered either on here, #naturalselection on Gamesurge (official) or quakenet (unofficial 'community channel') or #nsguides on gamesurge

    a quick read of the manual wouldn't do any harm - a lot of it is dated now, but it will give you a fair idea of whats going on <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Eh? Don't be too hard on yourself. I'd say, though, that I'd recommend patience with this game---it isn't something you can get into as quick as CS. Unless, of course, you're playing Combat mode, which sucks (IMHO <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> , others might think otherwise). Then it's just CS with aliens.

    If you're going to get started playing I'd go marines. Then just do whatever the commander says, and learn! If you ever want somebody to show you the ropes, I'm SMAT|BaBoUnD on Steam. CYA!

    asking questions is best thing, unlike the cs players, youll notice that most ns people will guide you through your ns experience.
