<div class="IPBDescription">the work in progress</div> <b>My vacation starts tomorrow. So that means im not here tomorrow but my thread is here for a long time. And suddenly something small comes like this : new map from me in work? yes but Oberon? yes oberon is soon finnished so it will turn out in a real combat map. The layout makes it combat way. But anyway my proper english is not good so i try explain on the best way.</b>

This map is very inspired by ns eclipse and ns veil together. Here you got the MS:

The map is in development a month maybye because im not here but when im back i will finnish oberon and release it like my own first real map. And this map is somewhere very after oberon is out gonna be done in near future. Well here you can see my inspired map ns gendo : marine start.

    Your site caused Firefox to crash. Nice. Some pot leaves started falling then the whole thing just crashed. I tried IE, but it wanted me to download some QuickTime instrumental crap and there's no way I'll go to a site with background music.

    Nice map though, I like the lighting. Looks very much like Eclipse/Veil (which was your goal) so nice work. Assuming its your work of course.

    Edit: somebody needs to record all these stupid and meaningless (uh i mean insightful) things that he says... "Life is a tetris machine. up and down, up and down."
    A) Do they even MAKE tetris machines?
    B) Tetris blocks only move down.

    Back on topic.

    Nice work there, you really managed to get the eclipse/veil mood. I just find the coloured lights a bit too coloured and it looks a bit weird in my opinion(especialy on the back wall of the pic).

    Looking nice but I believe you are not supposed to use the Eclipse logo. It's supposed to be unique to Eclipse and Veil.

    Fair enough. It's got some good, solid geometry, but the wall_lab textures are kinda well-worn now, try and mix it up by drawing on all the NS .wads to create your own unique style.

    Im starting working on the map tomorrow, so new screenshots will be added so fast i get it done. Today i m very sad because im back from the long vacation.

    Because i was gone in 1 and ½ months i dont know how the forums changed or what is new in here. But the work never stops, i promess to all that this map will be done. During my vacation i got some special ideas how to make this a new atmospheric map with this time balanced lightning and good layout.

    Well. Its allways comfortable to get home.

    Not too bad but I have a few comments.

    KFS has requested before that people not use the Eclipse logo so find something to replace that.

    The pit the CC is in could use a trim texture around the edge.

    The CC appears to be floating

    And I only see one entrence into MS. I suggest adding a second entrence if there isn't one already.


    Not a bad start. Keep at it.

    To stop that "floating" look of the cc why not put in in that that small pit in front of it?     Oh and the eclipse logo has to go, I agree with KFDM there. You could alway post a topic in the artwork forum requesting a logo for your map if you are out of ideas/for some reason can't make one

    Please use texlights. If the light texture is on a face that is facing this way --> light should not be cast that way <--

    Also, more spotlights and gamma and such. And yes, we've seen this before, another veil/eclipse-ish map.
