<div class="IPBDescription">i know, i know...</div> I know its been discussed before, and people say its a cross between bast and some other map. Well, why doesnt sombody make the map? It would be very fun!
BTW Nostromo is the ship in alien.
I notice some of the doors look exaclty like the movies doors in the nostromo. Why doesnt sombody make a replica map? it would be awesome!

PLease dont criticize me because i cant make maps for my life.

    Well maybe its because mappers like to impliment their own style, which is sometimes based on something else like the alien movies or other SF movies/games, but still with a small differance so the mapper doesn't get in trouble. I'm not entirely sure about what the legal problems of an exact duplicate of the nostromo will be <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Bast and Nancy have nailed the nostromo feel I'd say. Personally I don't like recreating things with a template to work off of. I map freehand, without a layout or style in mind, I make up a style and feel as I go.     I'm also curious as to why no-one has done the colony on LV-426. I would have thought it would really lend itself to an NS map.

    erm... follow these steps:
    1. buy youself the "aliens"-dvd if you dont own it yet
    2. get yourself a dvd player or a dvd-drive for your pc if you dont have one
    3. watch the movie an make scrrenshots of important spots

    ... and THAN you will be able to tell thats near to "impossible" to recreate only small parts without spending years of work <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    nostromo? the funny thing is, that the name was inspiration for our gaming-community:
    "Nostromo Gaming Group" -> -=NGG=-
    although there is nothing about "marines vs aliens" in this place, but "Sullaco Gaming Group" sounded weird in my ears.

    You'd have to take a good deal of artistic license, that's for certain. I just thought it would be really cool to recreate the battle in med-lab, hide out in Newt's air duct, or fight your way in the Atmosphere Processer hive. You could get a good feel for the atmosphere and architecture of the map, and then take it from there, adding in parts from the movie where you think they should be.

    two maps that should be in ns:

    1. The u.s.s. Nostromo, complete with bridge, dining room, hospital, that room with chains and rain, the little ship on the bottom, and a bunch of other stuff from the movie.

    2. The colony from aliens complete with:
    Atmosphere processing: Great hive location, where queen is, very good effect if you have the avp pack, and your hive is already a queen. The origional ship where they find the first egg, the colony: hallways, sewer, and newts hideaway, moniter room, medroom, and a docked dropship.
