Terragen Picture

<div class="IPBDescription">My first try...</div> I got Terragen in the early morning last night and toyed around with it until I went to sleep, this is what I got:

Please realize that without photoshop or anything that can edit photos I can not get waves to wash or batter against shorelines. I think its good for my first try, though!

    Was the background 3d generated? You edited in all the waves and spashes yourself? What about the mountains how'd you do those?

    took me 3 minutes to render a 1024x768 picture
    but i didnt like the camera angle
    and it sucked

    hmm, haze...i dunno if ya looked at my thread i posted, i doubt it...but anyways i have some pics with waves breaking on the shore. its from a plugin you can d/l. real easy to set up and everything. i also have like 20 custom skys, 15 custom terrain textures, etc ived downloaded. a google search for Terragen plugins and terrains should be your best bet.

    see the problem with terragen is...its TOO easy...anyone just starting up the problem can create amazing things (ie: me..). but when looking at galleries, there isnt too much that really takes your breathe away from the last image. yes, if you get really REALLY good at it, you can make stuff that'll stun anyone. but yeah, dont see enough of that. alright i lost track of my purpose now... /end rant 0.o

    I don't see how this can all fit into a 2 MB file

    It's quite easy to make a nice looking picture by just generating a landscape, assigning a texture and letting it render on full quality.

    But it takes AGES to master is and get that sun angle <i>just right</i>

    [EDIT:]anyone know where to get some good textures?
