6th sense tbh. Aka. wallhack (some peaple can't take you guessing where they are when they have hidden the same spot 20 times or just hidden in a known spot.)
allways look up.

Yeah I tried that once.
I just ended up walking into things a lot.

(at least add in a "or whatever button +blah is bound to" after mentioning it)
but other than that, awesome guide
Along with the Official NS 3.0 Manual, new players might want to make this thread their first stop.

Thanks for the button/bind comment, you're right, I'll have to look into it.
Some folks learn better by reading than by doing. Most of my sneaky tricks are in there, so even experienced players can learn something. It definately needs more pictures though.
I should mention that headphones on an expert can seem like a wallhack.
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry I can't do more right now, but I just got employed and I'm having difficulty fitting fun things into my schedule anymore. :/

I understand that your supposing a PG rush or something here, but when alone "inside" a hive, and theres MCs there, it takes like two clips to shoot it or something, for gods sake, take that out first. 20 res gone from aliens, and aliens must reorganize to make sure they are rebuilt. (The latter part could potentially wreck havok on clanmatches... Allways go for easy to cut down chambers mate)... If your not, like I mentioned, positioned for a PG rush etc.

Either way on the DC/OC thing. I still recommend my way though After all, it's my way.

Does ammunation really slow marine's movement speed? I never knew that.

I'm guessing you're on the bad side of some internet road block. You might be going through a proxy server. Try this link instead. Same machine, different port
Yep. So do HMG's, mines, etc., everything you carry with you, I'm not sure on the numbers though, it's a pretty small difference, but it can easily make a difference in the game.
You move at different speeds with certain weapons out too, I think you're fastest with your knife out.
If you need any help with connections goto:
www.radiotoolbox.com
and check your gaming port etc.

George

I haven't seen anything about the currently selected weapon changing your running speed in NS. Got a source? Have you tried it?
The most important thing in the game are resources. They are the nipple-like, black circle things with smoke coming out of them. If you are alien, go gorge and drop a resource tower on them, if you are marine, request a resource tower and build it. If you have lots of resources, not only do you get to upgrade your status, but you also make the other team weaker by starving them. Even a 1 hive alien team with lots of resource can take down a teched marine team. Keep this in mind, and the next thing you will have to worry about is skills and tactics.
So what are you trying to say exactly? Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.
<Sarcasm off></Joke>
Yep, it IS all about the resources.
"As long as we have resources, we dont need tactics. "
...
Still, it's a valid point. However you must remember the reverse of your statement; (1 hive aliens taking down full tech TSA,) a TSA team with full resources and no tactics can still be based rushed by 6 well organised skulks.

Onos's gore (1st attack) does double damage to structures.
Grenades do double damage to structures.
If your a fade or jet packer and your in the air, duck while airborne. This will make you a smaller target, and harder to hit.
Not only do the ammo and weapons you carry as a marine effect your running speed, but they also effect how high and fast you can fly with a jp. If you are carrying a fully loaded grenade launcher, don't expect to be able to go as high or fast as if you were carrying only your knife.
Explosions and other types of fire (welders) destroy webs instantly.
If you see an higher alien life form (lerk, fade, onos) running from you, chances are it has low health and is trying to get back to the hive or to some dcs. Or even just trying to hide so it can regen. If you can chase it or somehow corner it, shoot it. If it is escaping down a long hall, pull out your pistol fire; chances are it will go down.
I'll put some time into adding your tips and some more pics this weekend.
Shooting the fleeing=excellent tip, if taken with a small grain of salt. (Traps)
Did I really forget to mention the crouching jetpack thing? Whoops, gotta fix that.
