Best game besides MYST series and NS.
Ok, i wanted to know if anyone here has ever played one of the best games made out there, The Journeyman Project. It was made by the now closed Presto Studios (Creators of Myst III: Exile, and WHACKED!) The series includes: Journeyman Project, Joureyman project:Buried In Time, Joureyman project:Legacy of Time, and Joureyman project: Pegasus Prime. I urge anyone who can get there hands on a copy of any of these titles to give it a try.

Nice hat, but you are mistaken, HL is the best game ever made

I downloaded a demo of one of the jp games, and was unimpressed. It just seemed like a less-well-done myst to me. Sort of like this new "Aura: fate of the ages" pos myst uber-ripoff.

    "Best game besides Myst series..."

There's something horribly wrong with that statement.

There is a disturbing lack of Deus Ex in that statement.

Maybe if this was a Deus Ex forum... (also I haven't played it, yes I know it's a sin)

Ah yes, it is always a joy when another stumbles upon the glory that was The Journeyman Project. I still have the OEM version that came with my first computer lying around here somewhere, along with Journeyman Project: Legacy of Time I think.

JP:LT had lots of FMV, which sucked then and still sucks now, whereas The Journeyman Project had virtually no FMV and was a much less tedious game. However aside from the graphics theres pretty much no comparison with Mist, as JP was alot faster paced from what I remember (no confusing sensless puzzles).

Hopefully someday some aspiring game dev will realize what a diamond in a rough The Journeyman Project is and use current technology to polish it up and make it the game it was meant to be. Maybe I will make it a mod for HL2

BTW, the music for The Journeyman Project was pretty damn awsome in a relaxing zen way. I still listen to the .wav files of it occasionally.

i also was trying to make a JP mod for the regular HL, my only problem was invintory and coding. i almost had the maps mimic the levels perfectly. but alas, its a project for HL2...

That game came with my old Packard Bell. Needless to say, the computer broke, and we returned it. I just recently got a copy at EB for three dollars

Yes, it is quite a good game.
