Yes. Whenever NS goes "official" on Steam, VAC support will be added.

And then there will be the hackers who get past VAC, or are they really hackers?

Then don't use client-side hooks of any kind and you have very little to worry about IMO.

Well, while VAC isn't perfect (I recall having my CD-Key banned for having memory errors and waiting several months until it was unbanned), it does a pretty damn good job now, and should take care of the cheater "problem" NS apparently has. It's just going to be a minor pain downloading new security modules all the time on my 28k.

I don't put too much faith in CD anymore after it told me I had an aim hack in my NS folder. I have never once changed anything in my NS folder and if anything has been changed it has only been what CD did to it to operate.

So now I don't use CD mainly because I can't find any less 100 ping servers out their with it and because of that time I got accused of cheating when I didn't.

Takeeta, if a thread has been untouched for five months, it's generally not a good idea to bring it back up unless some new occurance makes it globally important again.
