    <b>Reebdog</b> - It looks good. Only thing I would suggest is perhaps a little more in some of the rooms..they look a tad empty... and that corridor looks very bland...try a little coloured lighting?

    Nice work, but you really could do with adding some more details as Hanz said. Add some obstructions or cover to the corridors too, at the moment they are looking <b>very</b> marine friendly.

    Your rooms are very nice. You have the mapping skills but they are let down by the plainess of your rooms. They are just boxes, despite the very nice details, lighting and textures. Keep the lighting and textureing but do something interesting with changes in height, catwalks etc, weird floor plans, that sort of thing. Just look at bast. We want strange machinery and weird holes in the walls. As for ceilings look to triad and places like that for inspiration, that is don't go overboard with he coloured lights but do put some interesting architechture in there. Basically we want the whole weird spacestation with rooms for strange purposes and odd equipment.

    ok you might wanna try this. add some panels on your walls like computer screens and such. and you should try adding some wires through out your ceiling giving it more pompemtuous looks. oh, and add some ambient too! gives it a kick in da a$$

    In the 1st pic. You have to much of the same texture..You might wana put some more computers and such.. give it a little bit of that green glow on the walls.. Might look pretty cool

    first pic ceeling is way to boring, beak it upp
    allso the lighting is dull in the first one
    about the hallways, they are gona be a pain in ze end fore the skulks
    maybe add some doreways, some pipes, annything to make them more skulk friendly

    That corridor in the sixth screenshot is gonna kill <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo--> so bad. Other than that I really like your fourth screenshot, but it could use some work on the lower section in that room. Maybe add some crates or something?

    I don't know, it's prolly just me but the rooms seem to be lacking something at least some of the screenshots do. Atmosphere, lifeliness, something just ain't there. Mind you they look good, just missing something <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Its not just you. The rooms are nice, but seem empty, like more could be added with them.

    Posted some pics of some changed rooms (See first post), need to fix the lighting in one, it turned out bad in the screenshot. Thanks for the feedback and lack of flames. First ns map so i'm still getting into adding atmosphere etc... Damn those TFC maps were so much easier, lol.

    edit: Oh and Belg. I have never seen that map before, i might have to rethink my ms then....

    I think you need to replan some of those rooms ar add some large machinery to split them up. If you look at maintainance on hera its pretty much the size of most of your rooms but it has that huge generator stuck in the middle to split it up and make it seem much smaller. Granted some maps have large rooms but you must make sure there are some nice skulk friendly areas as well. This is why most ns maps are made of corridors, even if they are imaginatively designed eg processing on hera.

    1. I don't care too much
    2. I'd feel more honored than annoying if someone tried to make a map based on my style
    3. As you said, you've never seen my map before.

    keep the ms, it's yours. but everyone is right, it just needs more. The new pics *are* better, but there's still much you can do with them. especially the pics near the bottom of the list. those need lots and lots of mapping attention right now. Add more lights that have no more purpouse than looking pretty. Put things in the walls, put them on the walls, put them in the middle of the room, whatever. it just needs something to grab our attention (and yours i might add).

    Keep working at it.

    details are what make a map good. this map doesn't seem to have many. it's a decent map, it's just lacking the details that make people really get into the feel of a map.

    Yes, it is looking much better. Maybe you could add an overlay to the other set of monitors in Pic1, I would.
