Help!

Just got a little question.

When I try to start up NS via steam I get the message that the game is currently unavailable ( first time i had this message )

Can anyone tell me more about this message, have you encountered it aswel, ...

    Well since steam have released thier 3rd update in as many days id say just wait for the network activity to go back to normal.

    Thank you for those amazing words of wisdom, would you like to tell us why steam is crap? instead of just making a generic comment.

    Be sure to take in others peoples point of view about steam, your point of view and an outsiders look about steam when you write why it is crap.

    How long is that, exactly? It has been hours...

    Oh, and THAT is why STEAM is crap. I can't play ANY of my favourite games (ok, it is just NS but that IS my fave) because "STEAM is currently unavailable".

    The idea behind STEAM is ROX! but the actual implementation seems... well, lacking (lagging? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ).

    Also, it irks me that no explanation is given. If I WANT an explanation, I have to go to their (bugged) website (that is rarely up).

    Hm.

    .....Steam is still in the early stage of devlopment if you dont like go use Won since its still up and working perfectly, Steam is a big leap forward over Won yes it has its downside but its free, as such you have no right to complain about it.

    Do you have any idea how hard it is to create an application that works for thousands of diffrent people on diffrent platforms and computers.

    If you dont like Steam use Won, no one forced you to download it or install it. Won anit shut down so its not your only option.

    *end rant* Yes im not a nice person today but these generic Steam is crap posts get me worked up.

    yeah I wish more people would show some support for steam aswell, since the start of this year I've had almost no problems with it.

    I normally get pretty mad aswell when people lay into steam, but as the saying goes, "There's no smoke without fire."
    And more and more i've been having ALOT of problems with steam, and there all pretty random, which kinda makes me aggree with the people that often moan about steam.

    So, what you are saying is: I cannot play the games I PAID for because I have to use something FREE that does not work?

    The box says "Online Play", not "Online Play sometimes, unless you happen to connect to an older network and don't mind playing the Old betas of various Mods"

    But, enough with the STEAM bashing. Does anyone have a <i>solution</i>? STEAM forums sure don't.

(at least they fixed the feckin problem where I had to completly re-download it from scratch if it disconnected halfway through updating...on a 56k. I was not a happy bunny <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo--> .)

    But yeah I'm sure Valve are workin hard to fix the problem, so just give it time for now. Moaning timer set to 1 hour from now. See you then.
