Alright I'm sure this has been asked before, but now that NS is on steam and I've finally made the transition I've been reading the tweak guides to try and help my comp out and my connection.
So WinXP SP1 latest updates as of Saturday
p3 800
512MB PC133 ram
GeForce 2 GTS 32MB DDR running on 45.23 drivers
my fps is alright but in some situations the game appears to go into slidehsow mode my fps seems to be ok so maybe it's my connection.
That being said a lot of the tweaks I don't know how to apply since we know longer launch hl directly and such. In steam there's a games list and I can make a shortcut to NS but it's through steam so for example if I were to put -heapsize in for 320MB of ram in the steam-NS shortcut would that be accomplishing the same thing?
I guess I'm just fuzzy on how the command line tweaks get tranisitioned the cfg tweaks I still have though.
So basically how do I apply commandline tweaks like -heapsize using steam? Or point me to a NS/Steam optimizing guide.
Great game guys.
