It needs to be in 1600x1200. Otherwise it's great.

sorry no can do, 1280x1024 is not a 4:3 resolution.

in an attempt to refocus the discussion away from the resolution I will list all resolutions I will provide the wallpaper in.

    1600 * 1200
    1400 * 1050
    1280 * 960
    1152 * 864
    1024 * 768
    800 * 600
    640 * 480

if someone really really really wants the picture in a weird 4:3 resolution then I may turn it into one of these by email or pm request <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> -

    1200 * 900
    512 * 384
    480 * 360
    400 * 300
    320 * 240
    160 * 120
    140 * 105
    128 * 96
    120 * 90
    80 * 60
    64 * 48
    48 * 36
    40 * 30
    32 * 24
    16 * 12
    12 * 9
    8 * 6
    4 * 3

    Any other resolutions just aint gonna happen <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

why not just enlarge the pic to 1280x960 and stroke it or something, use maybe a huge hl2 logo behind it and make it 1280x1024... or more.. ?

best make it like 1600 then people can just resize it down for themselves.

Im thinking it might look better if you added some desaturation effects... I cant exactly describe what I am thinking... (desaturation is the removal of color)

Both gordon and the background are desaturated already, ill try and fiddle about with them a bit more, and yeah the pic is 1600 x 1200 as a psd and yeah you can try to turn it into a 1280 x 1024 if you want.

I've just finialised the smoke effect (having about 40 seperate layers of smoke sprites and another 10 layers behind that was taking ages to save), so yeah im gonna tweak it and then release it, hopefully with my new website.

Edit: The background is more desaturated now and quite a bit brighter, stops my desktop looking too depressing. Desaturated gordon a little bit more. I dont want it black and white, just kinda the bob effect.
