Mods Don't Work On Condition Zero

I bought Condition Zero last week. When I got it it allowed me to play Counterstrike without installing Half Life on steam. So only CZ Deleted Scenes, CZ, and CS are currently installed. I then downloaded NS had everything done. All the patches installed properly. When I try to launch NS under the third party games in the Steam Games menu it then shows me the screen about installing Half Life.

Would you like the pay with your credit card
or
I already own this product.

Naturally I dont own this product because I didn't need it at first.
Can I like just move the NS folder somewhere else so that I can play it.

Disgruntled NS fan, <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Fade Man

P.S.I do not have Half Life but have intentions of buying it if NS requires me to do so... Yup I am that much of a fan!

Try moving the nsp folder from your (empty) half-life folder to your counter-strike folder and see if it works. You probably shouldn't use CZ, since the engine has been modified for it.
The location of your nsp folder should be c:\program files\steam\steamapps\youraccountname\half-life\nsp
    Move it to c:\program files\steam\steamapps\youraccountname\counter-strike\nsp

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this should work.

If it does, I'll buy you a beer.

CS:Z engine is twisted and evil. But I am cynical barstuard, so you shall ignore my opinions.

HL is pittence from Amazon; <£10. I would not recommend eBay as the serial keys could have been used. Still, it's a good game to play regardless of whether or not it's needed for NS.

BTW, the path for your NS shortcut would probably now have to read:
    "C:\Program Files\Steam\counter-strike\hl" -game nsp

or something. :S This is presusming that it wont show up in the "my games list", which is a good bet.

(As opposed to "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 70 -game nsp)

    Aha

    5) I purchased CZ what mods do I have access to?
A CZ retail cd-key will enable CZ and CS 1.6 in Steam, that is all.

I didn't have HL or CS installed when I did this process, and it worked fine for me.

    1. Go there and D/L steam. (The first one) Don't install it yet.

    2. Uninstall CZ, CZ:DS, and CS

    3. Install Steam.

    4. Double click "Counter Strike" on the "My Games" list and install it.

    5. Do the same for CZ, and click where it says like "I have purchased the game and have my CDKEY," or something to that effect. Proceed to install it.

    6. Install Natural Selection Beta 1(v3), beta 4, and Beta 4a, IN THAT ORDER.

I think that should do it. On 6, you probably know what order, but I though I'd put that incase you don't.
