Mouse Bug

Ok, I got a serious probleme that someone may know how to fix it.
Sometimes, my mouse movement stops working in ns, I got to move my mouse like crasy for it to listen again. As you can see, its kind of anoying in the middle of a fight.
Also, Ive been shooting skulk moving in a strait line towards me and missing them for no apparent reason. Don't worry my aim is real good. It could be bad regestering, which has gotten pathetic since my mouse started bugging on me, either aliens or marines.
I have to find a way to fix my ns, because I don't want to trow my computer trough the wall everytime. I make recordings and I can see in slow motion that my aim is dead on, I can almost accuse myself of aimbotting.
Its making me get very sad (I actually sheded a tear of deseperation) and I feel madness taking over my mind every second I try to play ns...anyway you guys get the point!

Also, try cleaning the mouse ball/rollers if you're using a standard mouse. Those are some of the main reasons a mouse will be unresponsive if they're dirty.
Another possibility is that the mouse pads have come off the bottom of your mouse and this causes dirt to build up and will increase friction, I stick stickers or selotape to the bottom of my mouse to raise it slightly (and they have a shinny surface which reduces friction further) you need about 5 layers if they are stickers (about 1cm by 1cm) and 10-15 for selotape (1cm by 1cm if you can get it like that but its not quite as critical as selotape is shinnier <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
Yeah, I've had that happen as well. I believe it's a combination of steam and lower-end comps, but I've seen instances of it happening *very rarly* on higher end comps. Sucks when it happens, but I think it's your comp trying to process all the commands (Yes, that very difficult and computer straining +forward command can do it) and just flooding the last one untill it finishes.
And yes, the hitbox bug is still common, you're not missing if it's moving in a straight line. It's a prevelent bug that has yet to be figured out or addressed, but it makes the player MUCH harder to kill, as you have no idea where to really aim to cause damage.
There's not much anyone can do about the hitbox bug, it's neither your fault nor theirs. As long as they're not being ****-smacks about it (OMG YUO SUX LOLOLOLOLOL I R TEH BESTORZ) the most you can do is live with it or go elsewhere. Restarting steam on their end can make it go away sometimes but even that's not really guarunteed. A fix would be nice, though.
When upgrading in co, sometimes the sensivity goes waaaay down in the menu.
Ok Ill give out my config and user config, maybe someone can help out maybe its really bad and I deserve to be better...

I know its long, but not playing ns sucks! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I just started a clan too, I kinda look nubbish with my mouse hehe
I move a lot, I talk a lot, I have a couple of scripts and I have a cheap 20 dollard mouse with a bad wheel, its optic at least.
Today, I can't leap, xeno, web, bile bomb, umbra, blink and charge. That made me sooooo usefull...Bhop meta celerity fade for teh ultimate win, riiiiight!
I should reinstall, damn that sucks. ah I think I have and old(2 mounts) nsp folder backup on cd!
I don't have a low end pc, but it does overheats A LOT. Like 65 degrees constant.
MSI K7N9 motherboard beta like, so I have to UNDERclock my pc, lol
2500 Athlon, down to 1500 Mhz
Maby just reset your configs (rename them as something else and make a new empty cfg file to replace them, copying over only the binds and scripts that you trust)
Just opened it, cleaaned all things, checked the cables, closed it again and it worked again.
i had the same problem before.
killing the taskswitch.exe in the taskmanager before playing removed my mouse freeze problem..
even the temporary movement lag is gone..
and someone with that problem mentioned once he doesnt have a taskswitch exe..its not a native windows xp part... and i have adware or malware on my computer called taskswitch..
i wasnt able to explain him that he have the taskswich task running hidden in the background..

kill the taskswitch before starting steam or ns and tell me if it worked.

If ur internet connection is something like 512/512 or better, try this:
Open steam settings - Then internet setups - Set ur connection speed to 128 or something like that.
Before I activated those in my NS my frags were in combat like 30/20 or something like that. Now they are like 80/8 when I'm playing with aliens using <!--emo&::fade::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/fade.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='fade.gif' /><!--endemo--> and 50/20 when playing with <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo--> ... Im very happy <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ok ill try more
Well only thing I didnt try is the good old format, my disk is in 2 so its not to bad, still don't have windows cd.
What was causing it was that I had attached the cord to my desk with tape or something, and every time I pulled back on the mouse too far, it'd yank out the cord from the mouse a little bit.
Eventually the cord couldn't take it any more, and pooped out... So if the cord wasn't wiggled into the mouse juuuuust right, it'd turn off, then on again once it got re-wiggled.
Yeah, I've had that happen as well. I believe it's a combination of steam and lower-end comps, but I've seen instances of it happening *very rarly* on higher end comps. I have this bug. freaking sux. Quite hard to play NS on higher end computers, since they are high traffic areas and my parents are around
Got the mouse bug 3 times in 3 hours so its acceptable, well not REALLY but!
Oh and I figured out why I coulnt leap and blink
cl_lc "0"

It should be
cl_lc "1"
cl_lw "1"
I might just get a new mouse with more buttons...
btw if ur mouse is freaking out, clean it, as for the aim, your choking man your choking.
It was as if my mouse was "lagging", and got very annoying, especially in the middle of a fire fight
I have an optical, I found that I was running too many backgorund processes, using up memory, which created the lag.
Try running this program:
<a href='http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/system/maxmem.htm' target='_blank'>MaxMem</a>
It worked for me.
