Hopefully they'll realize that they've driven the company into the same outhouse, and will pull up short before they go under as well. Yes, its out of the price range of most games, but the uber hardcore gamer with almost limitless wallet is who this option is for. And you'd be suprised how many that is.
And besides, how can it NOT be for gaming? Everything else like professional rendering uses far more complex/expensive hardware.
For rendering is CPU power needed. And for modelling and such you just need a great openGL card (nvidia and ati suck at this sector... well matrox too)
Ah yes matrox... great image guality? The new ati generation has probably the same quality and let us plz not mention the performance ok? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
@Doomeh Yeah there are manny who would like to buy the uber expencive gear, we saw where it lead whit 3dfx. Let me correct myself, it is useles for gamers and bad for the manifacturer.

As King of the Internet, I hereby officially dub this contraption the Toaster Card! So let it be written, so let it be done. It is now your duty spread this meme across the face of the internet.
PS: toasterCard.jpg has been introduced to my webspace.
Here's my attempt at the nVidia Toaster Ultra Gold Pro 22400: <img src='http://www.gorgerush.net/chris/nvidiatoaster.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /> Nestled nicely between a transistor and against the heatsink, for maximum toastage.
COMING SOON: nVidia Egg Fryer Super Mega Diamond Ultra 8000.

'wise' in the ironic sense of the word. Given that those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Nah, your right, I am not gonna buy any new Geforce cards anytime soon, I am gonna wait until my Geforce 3 becomes crappy. I still get mad fps in all the games I play with it so until I start getting 50 fps or below I am not gonna buy a new card.
