<div class="IPBDescription">another weapon of destruction from SA</div> To quote the site I discovered this through, <a href='http://www.hardocp.com' target='_blank'>[H]ardOCP</a>:
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Let’s get the disclaimer part out of the way first…this is incredibly dangerous. Not only should you NOT try this at home, this guy should have his head examined for trying it all (not to mention that it could even be illegal to possess in your state). Also there is plenty of colorful language on this site that may not be work friendly. Having said all that…this <a href='http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=1107178&perpage=40&pagenumber=1' target='_blank'>home built PVC flamethrower</a> is the coolest damned thing I have seen in a long time. I almost feel sorry for the kid. He's made quite a toy for himself, but it's inevitable that he'll hurt himself or others, and/or get arrested.
[edit]Be advised: SA forum members are known for following much, much less strict rules about language and content, so don't expect all of the posts to be PG-13.
[edit2]Either it's just happening to me, or the SA forum admins decided they were getting too much traffic; viewing the thread seems to require registering/logging in with them. One screenshot is still available with no need for login at [H]ardocp's main page.

Can't wait to show this to one of my mates, he's already made a compressed-air rifle capable of firing a screwdriver through a sheet of MDF (and it looks strangely similar to the early stages of this thing), and I can't wait to see what he makes of this.
I'd say that sounds like a dangerous toy <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

only if you're a sheet of MDF <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
As someone on the boards said

Here Fido, here boy, come here!
FRY DOG FRY!!!

Yeah, he won't let anyone else use it to fire the screwdriver, but I <i>did</i> get to fire a carrot at a brick wall with it. The carrot was pretty much liquidised <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
*edit* When I say "rifle", that's what he calls it. Basically it's a U-bend with a ball-valve to hold the pressure in and act as the "trigger", and a one-way valve that he can pump air into by hand. Still very cool though.
Instructions to make one can be found on the net somewhere, that's where he got the idea <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I was disapointed when I first saw it, it looked more like a piece of plumbing than a "rifle". The disapointment soon left me when I saw it's vegetable firing abilities <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ah well, won't be too long before the tank accidentally bursts,a dn well, goes boom <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
EDIT : OMG, figures he made a military grade flamethrower. People beware!

[edit]I just realized the text I had along with this picture made it look like I didn't read the entirety of your post. Rather than deleting my post to try to hide my lazyness, I'll hope everyone just ignores me entirely and laughs at the picture of the nailgun. [/subliminalMessage]
What would you say, if you saw that one night, looking out your front window?

This man has a future in the military!
Honestly, if it took this guy 1 week to make something THIS badass, the US military should just be replaced with a red-neck militia force. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
You know, a repository containing info on coil guns, pressurized pvc bazookas, et cetera...

or not, I think I would rather dislike a full body 3rd degree burn from <i><b><span style='color:#ff000f'>when</span></b></i> it eplodes.
id have to say the flame-thrower, because we have instructions on how to make that

From where I stand the differences are striking. ATI is primarily focusing on solving developer's technical problems while NVIDIA is focusing primarily on paying publishers for advertising space.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
