not sure if this is the right section or even forum, if not mods obviously .. feel free to stick it in off topic or something.
i posted on planet halflife forums about 2 weeks ago my issue, was told my ip was banned altho id never used their forums before, emailed them and still no response. im gonna paste what i tried to post there, my apologies i couldnt be arsed to type it again, spent alot on a mouse and keyboard that wont work with this game. and just played a really embarrasing game because of this problem which is now consistant in game. ne ways check it out, if u have heard of this issue before or some kinda simular or anything i cud try.. please do!

Hope you guys have a better idea than me, but ok ill explain whats going on, hopefully you can help.
recently got a new keyboard and mouse set (desktop) its a logitech dinovo (<link url="http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=486,CONTENTID=7321">here</link>)
its cordless and uses bluetooth instead of standard rf.
but appears to completely hate halflife. while playing natural selection (half life mod for those who havent played it) i get really bad function lockups, for example ill be trying to run and aim and my mouse wont let me aim. itll stay still or jump around the screen around about an inch in distance. also along with this, i often carry on going in the direction im walking, even if i let go of the keys, this can last up to 5-10seconds in really bad circumstances. the odd time the computer will bleep (usualy associated with pc being very very busy and pressing keys, or sometimes when pressing too many keys at once on ps2 keyboards) few tests ive done are when this lockup occurs ill press the console key, the console doesnt appear until the game 'unlocks'.
the keyboard and mouse hasnt caused any other issues in other games, tested bfv and halo so far. and hasnt shown any sign of such a lockup in any other application. just halflife.
its really frustrating, and at first i thought it was the keyboard but obviously playing other games fine would almost elimate this. but i happen to remember it happening along time ago when i played halflife last year for awhile.
my connection is 600kb (512) and gives me around 10-15ms in bfv, and i hardly ever lag in other games. so im pretty sure its not a lag issue however when using netgraph i can get choke up to 60-80 but usualy around 10-20 and sometimes non at all. ping is always great tho.
system specs are;
amd athlon 2500 barton (200x10) 1.65v idle at 45c
x2 512mb xms3200 corsair at 'by spd' timing which i cant remember but they arent aggressive.
Abit AN7 Mobo (latest bios)
ATI 9800xt 256mb (auto apperature and auto agp bus mode (4,8))
using onboard soundstorm digital connected to my amp.
logitech dinovo (latest drivers)
windows xp home sp1 (latest updates and patches)
voltages and temps are stable on the system. this is the only 'application' thats showing some really annoying problems.
so im sure its just halflife settings or incompatability and nothing system related.
if anyone has any ideas or knows what cuases these lockups.

Start up ns (or whatever mod you'll be playing). Alt-tab out. Alt-Ctrl-Delete into Windows Task Manager. Click the processes tab. Find and right-click on hl.exe. Expand 'Set Priority', and set it to a lower priority (perhaps 'BelowNormal' would be best, a lower one if that doesn't work). If you have any processes relating to your mouse and keyboard in the Processes List, right click on them and give them a higher priority.
I <i>really</i> don't think that this'll solve your problem, but it doesn't hurt to try.
