yeah.. its caseless.. but if you didnt know the G11, the real caseless rifle, the patrone/case are of sand, and the sand comes out of the underside on the G11, and I made that on "my" rifle too. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
sand? omg..lol looks like someone really should read my g11 monologue... ive posted some g11 related infos long time ago (i think 2 pages).. heres the link
case made of sand <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> now this is something nobody knows hehehehe
heres a little outtake about caseless ammo...
lets start with the caseless amunition,on this pic you can see the system invented by dynamite nobel. the projectile is directly embedet into the compressed propelant(the brown stuff,a special "HIT" propellant.HIT stands for "high temperature ignition"it solves one of the many problems that would be obvious with caseless ammunition, that of cookoff, where the temperature of the chamber is hot enough to fire the round alone. its not sand ). the propelant got a cartridge lacquer (base L71, coating L67/2 ,lubricant PTFE-spray) and a protective cap(Hope gm 5050) necessary for weather and waterproofing. the primer and booster gettin complete burned when fired ...
yeah.. and rabbiteh <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> , even a caseless rifle needs a ejection port. how do you want to remove a faulty round without fieldstripping it? the g11 is using its ejection port on the underside of the weapon to remove the really small ammount of burned propellant residue from the rotating chamber when reloading.
