if that's what you believe, then i suppose they wouldn't be the real iraqis, the ones who give a damn, who don't WANT senseless killing, no matter who's perpetrating it.
the ones who are willing to secure peace through whatever means.

You do realise that there are multiple ethnic groups in Iraq, with long-simmering tensions that have erupted after the fall of the totalitarian Ba'ath regime?
The simplistic view that the current problems are somehow completely external to Iraq is a dangerous one, and the idea that yet another bunch of vigilantes (who in this case support something approximating to the Coalition's viewpoint) can help fix the current situation is worrying. Remember that people like Osama bin Laden started off as 'freedom'-fighters with viewpoints matching those of Western governments...
So, you've got a puppet government with no real powers, a continuing military occupation by the Coalition, various warring factions continuing to attack each other and the occupying forces in increasingly horrible ways, and a disunited populace caught up in the midst, in the hellhole that is modern Iraq.
And they still haven't found the Dubya-Em-Dees! <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> This may actually present the Iraqis a reason to band together and give them a more honorable way of obtaining independence. Instead of, "Yea, the US and British coalition forces came and took out Saddam" they can say, "We got rid of extremeists and cleaned up our country" (or something like that, I know I didn't write a good example, but you get the point).
While tensions between ethnic groups might remain high, if the extremists are killing civillians on all sides, they're going to band together anyway. They might eventually become better for it.
Of course, it could also go the other way, and militas might form out of all the different groups and they'd attack eachother, which would be bad; then we just have to hope they've got more common sense then that.
