Tragedy Strikes School
<div class="IPBDescription">At 12:40 pm, GMT +8, Hong Kong time</div> One of my fellow schoolmates, Wijaya Deviana, has passed away from a car accident.
I'll just type in what I have in the Parent's Letter I received from the school

She was rushed to hospital immediately. Despite strenous efforts by medical proffesionals to save her life, she was certified dead at around 3:30 PM<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
She was hit directly at the side of her skull, causing it to shatter and penetrate the brain, cutting arteries and veins. And like stated above, despite their efforts, she had passed away.
I wouldn't necessarily say that I was her friend, or knew her much. But I knew she was a very kind and gentle person, always looking forward to the next day. Sadly, she will not be able to see the light of day, starting from today. I feel deeply sorry for her parents, her friends, and most importantly, her.
Rest in peace Deviana. May your soul rest well.

Sad to hear, condolences to her freinds and family, as always, but people that I don't know die all over the world everyday, so its not like I'm gonna go out of my way for this case. Death is a fact of life, weather it happens close to you or far away.
Btw.. What does (S4A) means?

That would be her class.
I'm in S4B for example, so yeah my class is next to hers.
I also failed to mention that S4A had to go with social workers, and were generally divided into 3 groups.
Mourners : Generally what it says.
Friends : Again, obvious.
The rest : The others that didn't fit in.
Needless to say, the school was shocked with the news. From what I heard, when the teachers heard the news, they all started rushing to their cars and rushed to the hospital....
Not to mention it just pisses people off when you walk out in front of them, not even acknowledging they are there, taking your sweet time to get across. Stupid college kids. Err.... yea... sorry for loss.
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
George S. Patton
It's never easy when death strikes close to home. I'm very sorry.
Something far more grotesque happened at my school. It happened 2 years after i graduated, but i knew the kid.
Anyways, theres a railway track near the school, where all the kids take the commuter train back home. As the newspaper article goes; this kid was wearing headphones and walking across the tracks (where the cars pass over), he didnt hear the train coming. It hit him, dragged him about 30 feet. He didnt survive. About 20 people witnessed it, many of them the same age. He was 14.
Btw, this happened in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Anyway, I'm sorry for your school's loss... I know what it's like; there were 3 deaths at my high school when I attended, one of them was a car accident.
Why should you devote your time and energy to someone that is dead? She is dead and that is that; what are we trying to gather out of this? Hell, I don't feel sorry at all; I don't care, and I don't see why everyone who posts here should.
I understand that you kind of did know her, and that her death was unwarranted. It will seem odd not to see the familiar face around school. I had a friend who used the rope, and he was someone I actually knew.

It's really all in your outlook. Society right now isn't that down with death; it's seen as really bad and in lots of places it's taboo to talk about it. Someone you love or even only konw a bit dies, and you've got depression for a while. Not that that's a BAD way to look at it, but since we have no idea what happens when you die, and most religions say it's pretty good if you've been alright, then there isn't really much of a point in getting super sad every time one of the billions of people on this earth passes away. This is more of a thing for the discussion forum, though. While everyone's still in their current mindset, though, sorry to hear about your loss, and especially her family's loss. Time heals everything.

Don't worry about me having to worry about it. I've had to deal with other stuff much worse than this.
But it isn't really me who's having problems dealing with her death, it's more like her...friends. Hopefully they can come to their senses soon. Same goes for her family.
Bah, I hate the human mind. Sometimes it can be too frail....
It just doesn't feel the same not seeing her coming to school. The day before she was perfectly happy and suddenly she disappears. Now, I'm not your average person, but I was a bit shocked when I heard about it happen. I'm over it, but some people in the school aren't. Yet.
Well, that, and reporters. I felt like bashing some skulls because they hyped the situation, and now they're hounding the school....
