Message Mode Not Working

<div class="IPBDescription">Which client to blame?</div> This has happened to me a couple of times on my NS Combat server: I join a game and cannot view one persons messagemode (public chat). I leave the server and can chat with this person via HLSW or HLDS console, but I DON'T see his chat ingame (others can).

This problem exists with maybe 3 different players on my server, and no one else. Why can't I view their public chat ingame?

The fix for DoD was to stop using a custom skin for STEAM.

I was not aware one could mute typesay other than an admin gagging the offender. How is this done?

When you mute someone in NS, it mutes the voice and text. I kinda wish there was an option to mute one or the other, but yea.

Except that I've done several tests with clanmates and when you've got someone muted their chat text is still visible. Try it.

Hold open the scores window, and click your mouse. Then (Assuming the offender is on your team) you can click on their name to mute/unmute them. A small speaker will be on the far right if they're not muted, a little circle with a slash through it if they are.

BEWARE: The mute system is not flawless. Sometimes it will mute multiple people for no reason whatsoever. Important people.
