Any Real Custom Maps?

<div class="IPBDescription">im tearing my eyes out!</div> ok, every custom ns map i played, they all, well, suck.
they all break custom ns guidlines, they arent even half as complex as tanith!

does anyone ever make custom ns maps they way they should be, like just having
3 hives
more than 5 rooms
-->hives in seperate rooms<--
no timers

anyone ever see anything like those? if yes tell me the name plz and thx.

and dont let this topic get out of hand with flames and insanity thx.

    There aren't many ns_ custom maps, just because the guidelines are so difficult to meet, and they're difficult to make, period. Combat maps are far easier, and if you happen to head over to zT's customs (It says zT's customs in the server name, search for it), you'll find a bunch of good custom co_ maps to keep you occupied for a while.

    ns_thorstation and ns_hydrosity come to mind. Thorstation is pretty damn good, and hydrosity I have no idea on its current progress - it wasn't exactly hot stuff in its direct port from ye olde form, but I bet its shaped up alot as well.

    And just look at the mapping forum. Theres lots there that adhere to the mapping guidelines.

    a month or so ago there was a list of good custome (well quasi offical almost, most of them were submited for offical releases) maps.

    Did the developer fix the triple seige location? If they did, this is an excellent custom map. Very atmospheric.

    thx, iv seen some nice maps at the snark pit and then went to that marks custom maps and g4b2s, god... best i found was a co remake of a doom 1 map, IT WAS WRONG IN MANY PLACES!

    thx, btw forlorn, any way i can get the ol net graph in that corner where you have your fps meter, how did you get that?

    Alot of people who have played my map like it. it is still very alien friendly and I have to work on the detailing, but it is playable and a serious map

    Blackhawk down is nice except for two things. The overview map could use some work. Some rooms that look like the lead to the next are walls. The socond thing, the balcony above the pipes need to be removed. It's an insane relocation or base spot, practically impossible to destroy one turret farmed.

    There are dozens, if not hundreds of good custom NS maps. If you can't find any, you're obviously not looking very hard! There are entire sites devoted to them.

    Many of them are of extremely high quality too; for example, just look at the maps that were in 1.00, and compare it to the maps that are in 3.0. All those maps that were added since then? They were custom maps that were deemed to be good enough to include with NS. In fact, the same can be said of the original maps too.

    Ns Rampage was a nice map. I only ever got the chance to play it once though.
