Converting Some Of My Fa Models To Ns

<div class="IPBDescription">need help =(</div> OK, so here are some of my models that I did for FA, but I would like to see them in NS, as I think some others would too, but also shown are some of the problems with the models, and that is that the hand positions are all fubar'd far from anything in NS, because I didn't care how the hands were positioned, since I was animating them anyway...

<img src='http://clanrra.com/uploads/convertProblem3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
as you can see none of these have good hand positions, most of them are positioned so that the weapon model can be easily replaced in the reference file, but the hands aren't even positioned correctly... converting these to NS means either
A) Reanimating the whole things, which I refuse to do, because its so much work that I've done before
B) Hopefully find some way to convert them NS hands onto the FA bones, and just reassign them
C) screw the whole idea... but I would like to hear whether or not people want some of my FA works converted for NS or not...
anyway, all feedback is appreciated, unless its negative, in which case its not <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Comments
I love you.
Don't we all <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
than the easiest solution would be (imo... I may be wrong and probably am <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) deleting the FA hands so you just got the gun/knife model. then import the NS hands. But you'll need to redo the anims... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
OR
import the hands and just rename the bones, so they fit the animations... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
that won't work for HA <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Not to mention looks ugly as hell, and makes me cry.
the next best thing, would be putting the NS hands on the FA bones, which I honestly would prefer most because then I wouldn't have any animations to redo, the only problem is that I would have to not only reassign ALL of the vertices for the NS hands onto the FA bones (headache) but even worse, I'd have to find some way to manually pose all of those verts onto the bone structure, leaving a HUGE margin of error, too many places to mess up.. and really I won't bother converting any of them unless theres a demand, which only seems to be on the NoisyCricket, and one person likes my LongColt (vash's revolver) which is IMO the most accurate and detailed of all the LongColt releases out there but with a higher PC
anyway, if anyone wants to see any of these converted I need to hear some responces on it, because its alot of work and trouble converting stuff into something with a completely different bone structure, as I'm sure some of you already know... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
if not... your crazy <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Believe me, I tried. Its what I had to do with my predator v weapon hack.
*IF* I had done it completely then I would offer you my vmodel, however I cheated and assigned all the vertices to just one bone, since the hands weren't going to move.
Reanimating is pointless IMHO, too much effort for too many models. It would be so much easier for a pair of NS model hands to be arranged to fit the FA skeleton. With that ONE pair of hands, ALL of these models could be converted in a matter of seconds.
unless you know of a means of reposing them in the reference files?
yes it is... I already got it for FA and just love it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Usually the refs are all the same and instead you use the animations to move them about.
I dunno what you're going to do about having X different refs tho. My only advice is to use the same ref over and over (handwise) for the future, cos it'll make any further conversions so much easier.
Glad I could make some one happy <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
[edit: doh, posted at same time as necrosis:
Yeah, FA by default all has all these weird **** different reference poses, don't ask me why or how they did it, but they did... for reasons unknown to me... maybe so they could line up the weapon model into the hand easily? I just don't know... but I do intend to use the same refs when I do new animations for future reference though
if not... your crazy <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
bah! i mean, take the saber, delete the silly fa hands, and delete the silly ns knife, and stick the knife in to the ns knife spot.... unless.... they have custom anims.... :/

that's it... it HAS.... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->
