<div class="IPBDescription">ultimate defence!!!</div> ok today playing a seige map, i noticed that when u build an oc facing upwards, it fall sontop of u, but do it again and it falls OVER u... now i know all about the machine gun things but this is even better and iv tried it... u cant kill it if u really put enough res into it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> trust me
all u do is build as many oc's over u as u can(remember not to move a single inch otherwise ull block the oc's!!!), because its a seige map ull probebly get res overflow helping u out, and after uv build a huge amount of oc's over u, build dc's and maybe a few sc's as cloaking cover... now let them all build in there natural juices and there ya go! i asked a clan buddy of mine to try and fly past the super tower, and he died almost instantly with full hp/armour and the weldself benefits... and the great thing is, i asked the same guy to go to an empty seige server with me and try seigeing the tower... it took AGES due to the sheers amount of dc's healing and oc's just there being canyon fodder... but thats not all folks... if u do it right (which u must to make it useful in any way) then u can acctually STAY THERE THE WHOLE GAME!!! the gl's can spam u, the seiges can fire, but nothing can stop u if uv spammed the server to the max after a cruel alien defeat!!!
i might get a screenshot of what i mean soon, so start praying if u dont get what i mean...

but you are right it is great. they cannt lean out and kill it with out takeing damage.
and you can use oc's for defence set up like that.
its big time siege/gl bate though. if you are near by when the siege goes off you will be very dead (all sieges hit same area = toast all lifeforms)
a fade can heal very fast if he stands by it and meta's, so they shouldnt be able to build anything near a invincible fade dont ya think?
btw the spitting structures thing was fixed, but all u really had to/need to do is build a sorta pyrimid of them... like a pyrimid of dc's by the seige room window makes a fade near invincible if he stands still... remember i said near invincible <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> and yes a 51 seige salute will kill it... it can kill anything dam it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
A: it is a exploit placing multiple chambers in one spot, which has happened with res nodes having 6 RTS on it giving the aliens a metric crapton of res
B: it only takes time to kill it, nothing much, just send a GLer with some backup
C: do seige maps really matter? no, they dont.
But it's not that good if the marines are on the same tech level as you.
Sure, it'll kill light armors in like one shot and you can chuckle your pudgy gorge butt off, but I like spacing them out a little. :/ That way you have more coverage in a big room, and there's nowhere to hide. If you can dodge one OC, you can dodge 8 in the same spot. It's just that your margin of error is a whole lot smaller. It sure is funny for tight, cramped spaces though. :D

NOTE: to make the stack high you need to creat a parallel stack next to it so you have some where to stand while placing the next tower unit.
stand far above the area where u want to build your tower, then build as many oc's as possible of the edge onto the spot you want. This lets you build more OC's then usual because the first ones you built will of fallen out of range. When you can't build anymore, do dc's then mc's then an sc (why get more then one?)
If you did that correctly you should have one huge tower. "What goods that! The OC's can't hurt anything!" i hear you shout. well, the trick is (since we are talking about a siege map) is to evolve into a fade, blink the the very top, and blink straight down (pushing the chambers into each other). Sometimes this doesn't work and you may have to walk into the chambers at the bottom after blinking.
Then all you have to do is sit back and wait for some happless mraine and whatch them die with satisfaction <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And you don't have to build two parallel towers to make it high, you can just use them as stairs as you build, but it goes a bit skwiff...
And will the super tower be fixed in B5 next Friday???

I use that as a gorge to break marine tutrles... save up max res... wait for some overflow, then carapace, adren, cloaking
Run in, and SPIN around in the same spot while building around you as much as you can... you will make a veritable ARMOR of chambers, and nothign short of sieges/gl's can even HOPE to make a dent in the unbuilt armor, and once it goes up, gg mairnes!
i've done this before... REALLY good way to break turtles

3 per one quarter second, 3 for the 2nd quarter, 3 for the 3rd, 3 for the 4rth quarter XD

rines lost maybe 25% of that res, you lost it all. Besides, the res needed to shove in to outlive that many sieges can't be spared anywayz. Only in siege maps but any comm who plays siege maps has fields of sieges.
And siegemaps are crap.
