<div class="IPBDescription">cant figure out how to do it</div> ok recently ive decided to start ns with a fresh install, and just tweak the crap out of it. im trying to add this tron 2.0 glow but i am stuck in the process given on <a href='http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?doc=1081854378-22165000' target='_blank'>http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?...854378-22165000</a>
i didnt get very far at all. i downloaded the cg toolkit 1.1 and those 6 files and now it sais <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Ok, now that the shaders are in place, it's time to do the programming. Firstly, you'll need to add the "opengl32.lib", "cg.lib" and "cgGL.lib" libraries into the project's link settings (Project->Settings->Link->Object/library modules).
<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
i do not see a project button in cg browser or any of those .lib files anywhere. could someone explain to me what to do? or is there a way for me to just bypass all this and run a magical installer to make it all work wonderfully?

oh, and id be VERY careful when messing with your opengl file, seeing as that is where almost all aimbots, wallhacks, etc are centered might get picked by steam as a hack.
No.
Yeah, and when you turn it on, your FPS go like this.
CG Shading Off - 99.99999~ FPS
CG Shading On - 20 - 40 FPS Unsteady
And that's with a GeForce FX 5950 Card, 1GB of DDR400, P4 3.12 Ghz...

Untrue.
I play a lot of HI these days and the drop is not that significant.
I use cg_blur_steps 4 and cg_glow 1 (duh!)
Sure, there is a hit to framerate but that is the price (increasing amounts of) people (are willing) to pay.
I still think this needs to be implemented in NS as a toggle. Along with Detail textures. And a scorpion that hovers without flapping. W3rd.
but if you wanna just fool around a bit catch me on msn john and ill send you the fully compiled version of all that code
By decreasing the cg_blur_steps number, will that boost my fps with cg_glow on?

actually... the "MoveIn!" mod also got that "glow" effect.... and here I just got around 5-10 fps less than w/o it... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
