Steam Problem!

<div class="IPBDescription">WTH is going on here!</div> I have been playing Ns via Steam for about 6 months now and it had been working fine the whole time. Suddenly just yesterday I double clicked on Steam and it showed a window saying "Initalizing". This was weird I thought because usually the window should show "Logging into rusty_007". The bars didn't move in the Initalizing window which meant it wasn't loading. So i waited, waited and waited till finally an error box came up saying

What does this mean and how can I fix it? If I can't are there any other ways I can play Ns?

I have redownloaded Steam 2x.
I have reinstalled Steam and Ns 4x.

    weird... everytime I've reinstalled steam it worked fine...

    I guess you just have to hang yourself now :/
