Any Other Ways To Play Ns?

Now to my problem. I can't work Steam I know you guys can't help me because it's a Steam related problem so I went to the website and still my problem persisted. So I said **** Steam in anger and now i'm wondering is there any other programs/tools/servercache/ I could use to get Ns servers?

    Try and find a download for a Program called "All Seeing Eye", it's a game server browser tool, last time I checked though you had to pay to use it, maybe you can find a free download of it.

    If you can communicate with your friends over an IM, use www.gametiger.com and put their gaming handle in the field, then just copy the IP it sends back and open up NS, open the console, and type connect <ip>

    If you uninstall Steam though you're screwed, the latest version of NS must work through Steam in-order to be played.

    Wait, last time I checked, <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html' target='_blank'>The All-Seeing Eye</a> was trialware.

    ASE (All Seeing Eye) is Trialware. That's for sure. I'm using it for about 2 Years now, and the only thing it does, is notify me about the massive advantages beeing a registrated user. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    But the only thing ASE does is giving you a great plain overwiew of servers for the games you installed, along with some great settings for filters and stuff.

    ASE is starting Steam automatically to start NS if you want to join a server. So ASE is no solution for your problem i think, but try it anyway maybe we'll get a miracle there <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Try reinstall Steam
