<div class="IPBDescription">new release of co_campers (fun map)</div> This is a fun map so if u dont like fun maps, dont bother reading further.
Updated version has breakables,weldpoints, turrets, etc. and is generally more balanced than previous versions.

    thats why they are called "funmaps". funny thing: there is not much fun when playing...

    this is better looking that most.

    The main reason is because funmaps often end in turret farming and that kind of thing, so they tend to have boring textures to reduce system load

    I can see some progress in your work. You have added content to the visual side of the map and it's definetly getting better. Lighting is still pretty poor, but it's better from what I can remember. Have you started using texture lighting? If not, then start using it!! I think you should think of better textures next, the ones you have now are pretty dull. More contrast in lighting wont hurt, which means combining dark and bright areas to deepen atmosphere. However, if you in this fun map are aiming for superior balance over visual appearance, well that's ok. btw. I like your hive area, but it could use some more rough terrain.

    [edit] btw. that cryo-freezer skeletor what ever thingy is nice idea. ^^

    I'd still like to mention one thing. To make a map as enjoyable as possible one has to offer both visual appearance and good gameplay in one's map. Keep that in mind. I understand you might be a new comer to mapping, but I just felt it useful to point this out.     If you had seen the lighting in past versions, you can't complain about this. You improved you lighting and you advanced the detail in the level. You have gone where no fun mapper has gone before. All the others before you said that it was about gameplay and style didn't matter, and now your blending it together. Good work.

    A small update has been made to encourage marines to work together as a team and to venture out of base. Now, the aliens no longer have an exit from the hive room into the upper central rooms - they must use the vents between the upper and lower rooms to get to the upper level. So, with all vents welded shut, marines effectively have full control of the upper area giving a significant advantage. The changes have NOT been beta tested (my clan has just disbanded) so I have no idea how they will play out.
    Previous versions seem to be too lerk friendly and I am considering cutting the marine area in half (vertically) to give two levels.
    Any ideas people?
