Controllers
I'm in the market for a PC gamepad with analog sticks, but after looking through a couple, none of them have very good things said about them. I'm now wondering if anybody has used a PSX to USB converter and used a playstation controller for this? I'm considering just buying one from radioshack.

I was asking if anyone had success with this, not your fanboyism.
You're not helpful.
Try this. It's recommended on the StepMania site.
If you just want an old school PSX controller w/o any analog, the Gravis Gamepad Pro is a near exact replica that I myself have faithfully used for years and years and I honestly think it is the best controller ever built.
If you want a more PS2 style controller w/ analog buttons, I highly recommend the Interact AxisPad. Its just a cheap little controller you can get for $10 at Wal-Mart or the like. Works pretty well, I used it for the brief period when my Metal Gear Solid 2 playing was limited to the PC (that port sucks **** btw)

I've heard terrible things about the Dpad on that, but as far as gamepads go, if I had to get one, thats probably the one I would get. I would go with a Logitech Dual Action, but I've heard about so many problems I don't know if I want to bother.
More seriously, I don't I don't really care whether you use my referral link because I don't have any consoles that Lik-Sang's products would be useful for. But the converter I did buy works just fine for my playstation DDR pad.
One thing I must warn you about: if it says it's in stock, don't sit on your behind wondering whether you should buy it or not. Buy it. I ordered mine early into a December thinking I'd be able to play DDR to my heart's content during winter break off from school. They had such high demand during that season that they didn't even have one to ship to me until January.

I've seen that for a while, every time I check on it its out of stock. I red somewhere that the manufacturer quit doing those though.
I've heard that xbox controllers use real USB, theyre just shaped wrong. all youve got to do is some cutting and soldering, and its quite easy to make an adapter.
as seen here: http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Mods/xbox_contr...r_to_pc_usb.htm
