<div class="IPBDescription">Just a thought of kool things for NS</div> I thougt of something kool over a couple of days and thought it might be nice to give my thoughts to you about things that would own in NS (new version, long from now)
Ill seperate what i think into 4 collums: Marines,Aliens,Game Changes,ALT fires
MARINES:
- marines should now have ALT fire for all their weapons
- NEW WEAPON: smoke grenades : has about 20 smoke
- NEW WEAPON: med pack: infante heal with the cost of loosing primary weapons and other equipment.
- NEW WEAPON: triggered bombs: 500 damage
- NEW WEAPON: gauss riffle: instant kill on gorges and skulks and takes down half of everything else except onos: can shoot through walls with motion on: has a scope with thermal
- NEW UPGRADE: Building deffence: adds some more HP to buildings
- NEW UPGRADE: Shock Field: adds range to electrified structures
- NEW WEAPON ABILITY: instead off haveing a unit run over mines they have lasers so a unit walks infront of it and it detonates (can still be walked on)
ALIEN:
- aliens should now have alt fires
- NEW UNIT: Hive Guard: costs 10000 res and needs to be onos:has 1000 hp and 1000 armr: this unit has 4 attacks: bite, devour groups (means you can devour 5 players at a time),Carrier picks up units that are small like gorge, skulk, and lerk (can only have 5 units at a time, and takes off spawning on this unit when that limit is reached), leeches (CPU units that have 1 hp but if contact can instantly kill a marine)and you can spawn from this unit.
- NEW BUILDING ABILITY: Ocs are now for weapon upgrades: and they can still attack
- NEW BUILDING ABILLITY: when ever you stack buildings the bases attach to the bbuilding below it.
- NEW UPGRADE: plus 5 dmg to all bite attacks (skulk lerk and onos attack)
- NEW UPGRADE: plus 5 dmg to spit and slash attacks (Fade and gorge)
- NEW UPGRADE: webs are barely visible
GAME CHANGES:
- you can choose where you spawn (marines IPS aliens HIVES and HIve Guards)
- you must kill the remainiing aliens or marines when their hive/comm/ip go down
- Comm can now give different commands to players like: repair that structure, guard this area, this unit needs a medic.
- The comm chair has a radius for spawwning ammo and med kits and catalist
- when being devoured you can only have your knife and knife open an onos or HG but only does 2 dmg to player.
- When completly devoured body and weapons do not show up on floor and your view goes black inside the stomacha than it shows the death message
- new devour bar so mariens have a little blue bar going across and the alieans have a little orange bar tht looks alien ish (the marine and alien bar are not the little white bar with the blue thing, they are like the combat bar except the bars keep going to the right and when reached the player dies.
- the flash light for aliens shows thermal now so they can see the marines
-you can have 10000 res for aliens ( the little 100/100 thing will be eliminated)
Alt FIRES:
PISTOL: pistol Wip 8 dmg
LMG: small scope (no thermal)
KNIFE: through knife 16 dmg (can be picked up again)
SHOT GUN: insinarary shots (flame shots)
HMG: make it stationary
GL: different type of grenades : smoke : timed : regular:
GRENADE: roll the grenaee
MINES: enable laser pointers (press e on them; MARINES ONLY; and lasers go off)
WELDER: can weld doors shut
MED KIT: take a diegnostic
GAUSS RIFFLE: scope (thermal)
BITE: a harder bite
PARASITE: an attack not a tracer
LEAP: leap farther using all energy
XENOMORPH: time the explosion
SPIT: spit on ally units to tell them that you need help (higlight you on thermal vesion to that player)
HEAL: as an attack not a heal:
WEB: web a player (more afective than the web player on vs 3.0)
BIOBOMB: hurts armour
LERK BITE: those little spikes from 2.0
SPORES: lasts alot longer but takes up all energy
UMBRA: lasts less with less energy (this is primary secondary is the normal attack in 3.0)
PRIMAL SCREAM: bigger radius and alot longer for all energy( normal takes half energy now)
SLASH: you can cary a player to a unit and they can only knife you
BLINK: telaport to whare your looking
METOMORPHIS: heal a unti your looking at
BIO ROCKET: tells unit to attack this plaer
STOMP:stops multiple units for more nergy

Sorry to say it but, No.
You list too many weapons, most of which would be totally unbalanced and pointless to have, especially the "Insta-kill" and "wall-shooting" weapons, motion tracking on or not.
Think about it, Marines can see every alien on the map with Motion on. And now they can shoot them through walls before aliens can even see them? That would totally destroy the game.
Alternative fire is not going to happen, being able to weld every door on the map? Aliens would then have to rely soley on vents.
Hand grenades can already be rolled by throwing them while crouching.
I'm not going to go through all of them. It might be wise to think ideas through before posting them.

The original NS Plan has crazy stuff like smoke grenades and Alien commanders in it too.

It might be cool, but ask yourself this: Is it really needed? Right now aliens can defend their hive pretty well w/o a guard. So it's useless to add it. Who in gods name would save 10000 res to sit a hive and defend it. And that while the hive can be defend w/o the guard. Not me..
