<div class="IPBDescription">Does *anyone* actually have one?</div>Arg. I've been looking at stores everywhere and I've yet to find someone who actually has a X800 XT in stock.

Which got me thinking.. I keep hearing about their great benchmarks, but does anyone actually own one? I'm not talking you placed an order on a website, I'm talking in direct physical ownership of the card, as in it is in your PC right now?

Pisses me off there's all this fanfare about how great the card is and you can't even freaking buy it... :X


And its the same story with the newest NVidia card too, so whether you're one side or the other it sucks.

    If i remember correctly I read they won't start stocking them to later this year. :\ (Wait till games like Doom3 come out and then release for extra $$$)

    I have an x800 Pro.

    Words cannot describe its awesomeitude.

    Edit: Oh yeah, the difference between the pro and xt isn't too much, just go with the pro.

    Someone I work with who doesn't have a clue about comuters won a 800xt and sold it to me for 40 dollars. He thought it was some giant radio transistor.

    Well, I am now very, very **** off.

    Before reading this thread again, I checked Best Buy's web site and it said they had the X800 XT's in stock in a different store here in town. So I called it, waited on hold, and then asked the bag of **** on the other end if they did indeed have them in stock and on hand.

    "Yeah we got them."
    "You sure? Its the expensive one, like 500 dollars"
    "Yeah, we got three of them"
    "You're absolutely sure its the right one?"
    "Yeah, I'm looking the box right now"
    "Great. Thanks"

    So I hop in my car and drive 15 miles to go get it...


    <b>AND IT IS A ****ING EMPTY PRE-ORDER BOX.

    AND ITS NOT EVEN FOR THE RIGHT ****ING CARD</b>

    I was so **** I almost just went and bought the X800 Pro from CompUSA (which they did have, on hand, right there) but I decided I really didn't want to do that as the XT blew it away in all the benchmarks I had seen...


    But.. **** that pisses me off...

    I remember my worst experiance with a Gamestore..
    I bought two things.. One box came completely empty and the other had the wrong damn game.. (I bought Unreal2, they gave me unreal GOLD)
    This store was also not one, not two.. but THREE towns over.
    I was ****..

    Can't say its all too fun to be messed over by the idiots that work at game stores..
    If only they took the time to employ people that actually have any knowledge about this stuff..

    Futureshop has had DOOM3 boxes on their shelves for 4 months now. I saw one, it said $10, and I'm like "WTH". It didn't say preorder, but the box was empty, so I assume that any tards who bought one were either too dumb to realise it was an emtpy box (or at least the weight of an empty box) or that they didn't mind playing a non-existant copy of the game.

    In Scotland Im sturggling to find any x800Pros that dont have a waiting list to get to -_- so do I wait or do I wait or I could wait for PCI express for my new PC but that means I cant run most of the newer games....
