The last time I read an explaination of the reasons NS isn't likely to be ported to the source engine, it had to do with the differculties of transfering the code, e.g. the commander interface. This might apparently involve an entire rewrite, which understandably Flayra wouldn't want to do.
Until the SDK is out, no one can be certain of anything of course, but it seems unlikely that NS will be converted to Source.
Or there will be alot of unhappy gamers
I very much doubt that.
NS2 however may cost that because they would have to licence source from valve, or they could just change every texture into adverts for companies and rasie revenue that way

Hmm on sec thought it might be ns going retail or something else. It was either
A. NS2
B. NS to half-life 2
C. NS going retail
D. Plush gorges
E. Something like that
He was talking about creating a brand new game from scratch. And its closer to
$6,000,000
IF modding == costs
THEN no mods
BREAK
}
[MS Visual Studio has found 100+ errors from line 2, 3, and 4.]
A lot of mods are going to be converting to Source and/or new mods will be created, and keeping NS on a 6 year old engine is just going to hurt it badly.
So i really do hope that NS is ported to Source, even if it's not NS2.
But yeah, other than that, unless Flayra gives someone the go at porting NS to HL2, we won't be seeing NS on HL2.
But we will definitely see NS2 on some newer engine.
Doom 3 engine all the way.
It lighting is far more sophisticated than hl2 . So much so its unified lighting can imitate radiosity values and indirect bounces. Hl2 cannot do that..
Lighting is better than shaders in my opinion.
True atm it can only support 4 players in multiplayer but expect that to change once ID have sold the engine off to a few companies.

Well what do you know, I hate people who are so inept they disregard all aspects of the English language, including capitalisation and punctuation.
Unless you haven't noticed, THIS IS A FORUM. NOT IRC. The posts AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE. Take some goddamn time to write what you're trying to say.
I'd highly appreciate if everyone tried their best at spelling their own posts and left the rest in effing peace.
As for the question at hand - to summarize all official answers regarding a NS: Source: Let's wait until the devs had a good look at the new engine, OK?
