Natural selections and internet connections

<div class="IPBDescription">A tale of woe</div>Ok, basically, every time I try to use the ingame server browser to update a list of NS servers, or add a server manually, my Internet connection is broken (meaning I cannot paly games online, surf or use other net apps like P2P apps or AIM) and I have to unplug my modem and plug it back in before I can get back online again. I can start up a LAN game without any problems, it's just Internet games that give me grief.

My computer is a P4 2.2Ghz made by Microstar with 256Meg of RAM
My OS is Windows XP
My Internet connection is a 500kbps Cable connection with the UK Cable company Blue Yonder.

D'oh, should have figured it out earlier. It appears that NS and McAfee Firewall do not get on well together. I turned off the Firewall and it worked fine.
