Ava Map Requirements

It has been suggested to me that creating an AvA map might not be so obvious. Therefore, this post should address questions some mappers might have.
NS requires AvA maps have the info_gameplay entity teams both set to Alien. It also requires two hives, one as Team 2 and the other as Team 4. The spawnpoints are set to Team 1 and Team 2. This should be very familiar to MvM mappers.
The plugin is based on an Attackers vs Defenders style of gameplay. This means one side has a Hive, and one does not. Mappers should design their levels so that Team 2 has a base in the middle of the map, complete with a Hive and spawnpoints, while Team 1 spawns on the fringes of the map, heading towards Team 2's base. Team 4's hive should be hidden outside the play area, as it only exists to keep the round going.
The gameplay itself can vary quite a bit, as you have Skulks, Gorges, Lerks, Fades, and Onos fighting. High walls can allow Skulks to evade defenders, climb on the ceiling, then drop on top of the Hive. Wide-open areas are friendly to Lerks and Fades. Since the Hive will see lots of action, it's best to allow Gorges easy access to heal it, as well as a way to web it up.

edit: Kester: When someone told me to turn the flashlight on I just thought "what the heck, how could that help me?", but I forgot it wasn't the same marines have. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
