<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>I'm not going to add more detail to the model</span></span>
The model was designed to be simple, not over run with detail galore. The rest is left for the skin.

The model is done, and right now I'm finishing up the UV maps. I'm going to try and do everything on my own, as a learning experince. Skinning I'm decent at, but that part might take longer for me to do, along with the animation witch I have done none of. When I'm done with the UVs, and if someone does want to take a crack at skinning it, that'd fine with me.
The design is based on the guns you find in WH40k: Rival Species. Big, and bulky. I know some wont like this, but someone out there will. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<i><b>Ejection port?</b></i>
Not only did I not want to have an ejection port on the side of the gun, I wanted to try something different. Since the clip is so mondo, I figured I'd divide it into two compartments, one for the spring/bullets, and one empty one for the shells. When its time for reload, the shells would be dumped out, and a new clip would be put in.

Aww.. Well, it does look a bit wierd, I like the idea, but might it not need a but more work? And DAMN doesnt it look a bit smoothed? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Keep up the work however

I'm not very good at smoothing, I never actualy atempted smoothing untill this model.
Considering im done mapping it.... <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->
i understand the no cases flying out, and that makes sense, it does, i like the concept of them being stored back into the clip (i think that's right, right?) but it needs at LEAST a hammer. and i dont see a trigger

Could be an internal hammer...like a P99.

The tirgger is the large white part on the handle, which I have resized.
Is a hammer necessary? D: If it is I can go and and one real quick before I post the file with the UV maps.
Nanites... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I think that a hammer does make sense but...it would look odd i think on this massive wpn.
and even if they can, NO
Well I thought I'd be pondering for a long while, but I got one that actualy looks good and kind of gives the concept the 'good' feeling. I'll model it and post pictures.
Heres the design I plan on using.

Also I was planning on adding some sort of vent on the side of the clip, or a few holes on the extended part of the gun (extended down), and have that be the area where it vents.
