<div class="IPBDescription">Help evolving from 1.0 to 3.0</div> I havent played since 2.0 came out, and that was very little, and now im a bit confused.
basically how do I know how much res I have?
Im guessing thats related to the ranking system i see, like behemoth etc.
And is it me, or did some other guy have all 3 movement upgrades when I had to spectate him?
And then, whats the deal with CO maps?

Okies...
For res, as an alien is says in the bottom left of the HUD x/99, where x is your current amount of res. As a marine it says on the top of your HUD, right across from the name of the Commander.
The ranking system is for combat maps, co_
You were specating a combat game I suppose? If combat every level (or rank) you gain gives you a 'point'. You can use these 'points' to 'buy' upgrades for yourself. In combat there are no commanders or buildings. The aliens job is to destroy the Command Chair and the marines must destroy the hive. The marines also get a armoury, so you can get extra ammo.
For example, as an alien I get two kills. Thus making me rank two. I now have one (1) upgrade point. I scurry into a vent and open the pop-up menu. You can buy any upgrade, for example if you buy cloaking, you can still buy focus. All the chamber upgrades cost one (1) point, except Focus, which costs two (2).
If you wish to evolve your Skulk into a Gorge or Lork, Fade or Onos. You must follow the evolving path. First spend one point to morph into a Gorge. You now spend another point to become a Lerk or two (2) to become a Fade. If you become a fade you can spend ANOTHER two (2) to become a Onos.
As a marine you can choose from three groups of upgrades. Commander upgrades (things a commander drops), Weapon upgrades and Armor upgrades.
The 'tech tree' for combat is like this.
+1 means it costs 1 point
+2 means it costs 2 points
Weapons Lvl 1 (+1)
<>Shotgun (+1)
<><> HMG (+1)
<><>Grenade Launcher (+1)
<>Weapon Lvl 2 (+1)
<>Weapon Lvl 3 (+1)
Armour Lvl 1 (+1)
<>Armour Lvl 2 (+1)
<><>Jetpacks (+2) //If you take a Jetpack you can't take Heavy Armour, unless the server has a plugin
<><>Heavy Armour (+2) //If you take heavy Armour you can't take a Jetpack, unless the server has a plugin
<><>Armour lvl 3 (+1)
Commander Upgrades (doesn't cost anything, just the heading):
Resupply (+1)
Catalyst (+1)
Welder (+1)
Mines (+1)
Hand Grenade (+1)
Motion Scanning (+1)
Scanner Sweep (+1)
FIN
Sry about any errors, I don't feel like typing this out again, ever. Things in Indents mean you need to buy the thing in the bracket above it before you can buy it. (IE Weapons Lvl 1 before SHotgun or Lvl 2, and Shottie before HMG or GL)
