<div class="IPBDescription">Regarding 5.1 Surround Sound</div> Does anyone know which is a good game/demo/movie
to test a 5.1 surround sound set-up. I've just set it all
up (easier than expected) and want to make sure i've got it
all correctly done.
There was an option on Rogue Leader on the GameCube
which had a TIE Fighter flying "around" the player to
make sure you had it set up right.
Does anyone know if there's a program I can download
to emulate this?
Oh and.... Audigy sound cards.... good or bad?
I want to bump up from a SBLive 5.1 and get
a better experience for Doom 3.
Thanks

The Subwoofer, first of all, should be on the floor and as close to the corner of the room as possible for better sound.
The front-center speaker you can put right above your monitor.
Front-right and front-left can go on a desk beside you.
The rear-right and rear-left speakers would produce an awesome effect if you want to do a little work and mount them facing down at you on a wall. Otherwise, put them on a high shelf behind you. This is the setup I use and it wroks great.
Beyond that... test it in a good ol game of CS and tweak it till it sounds right to you.
